k7s5a and lost bios settings

Hi, Ive got one of these with an athlon 1400 and its always had the problem of
losing the bios settings after a while. It will boot at 1050 and all bios
settings will default. Using the latest bios and replacing the battery seemed
to help for a while but its back to its old tricks again. I know this used to
be a common question in this group about a year ago. Was this problem ever
solved? And if so, how. thanks.
