I have a Medion MD8800 computer that has devoloped a possibly major problem. Its major in that I cant use a otherwise working PC. What happens is the keyboard indicator light all three of them strart to light up and flash and keep flashing nonstop the keyboard is also non responsive. The mouse has a odd dim light to the red led underneath and wont work. The actual windows itself starts up fine and loads as normal I just have no way of controlling it. I am convinced it is some sort of hardware problem.
When the PC is first power up when pluged in I get 5V through the USB and PS2 ports but when the mchine actually starts the power drops to 3.77V on the USB and PS2 ports.
Keyboard is PS2 and mouse USB using adapter, I have tried other mice/boards and same problem. I even took out the CMOS battery to remove any locks on them and no luck.
The only thing of note is the Voltage difference on the ports. I checked the voltages on the 20 pin connecter from the PSU and the voltages are all perfect. Its only at the ports the voltage seems to be too low.
Anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong with a otherwise working machine.
