Post subject: What is the longest i can have a network cable, from hub/router to machine

planning a network from my house to my garage, is 30m away. is this possible
or is the distance to far? thank you

the max is 100 meters -- 30 should be fine

You can install a wireless access point near to the closetest wall/window to
the garage. You will get more that 30 m signal.
