Have a Thunderbird 850, 128M Ram, GA-7ZX motherboard with VIA KT133
chipset.
Was running Win98 and had a lot of problems with system spontaneously
rebooting itself. Thought it was spyware which system was infested with
so
bought WD 80Gig HD and installed Win XP Pro.
Still reboots itself, and often get Machine_check_exceptions. Error
report
says STOP: 0X0000009C (0X00000004, 0x00000000, 0x2000000, 0x00020151)
Don't think it's heat, BIOS says processor 30 deg. C, system 70 deg.
C.
Heatsink is clean (was dusty a while back while on Win98, cleaning
didn't
help.
Ran MEMTEST for 9 hours, no errors found.
Reboot problem seems to come when using system more, graphics, games,
ect. but not always. Often machine check error comes when logging in as
a user.
Any ideas? What do the codes mean?
