Trying to match a board to Athlon XP +1700

I had an ECS K7s5A

That is probably broke down
PS- My 2 HD burned down and I have burned capacitors, is it worth while trying to replace them, and use the old board. (I think go for a new board...)

So now I look for a new board and I don't know what specification should I look into?

I looked in AMD's website, and I can't choose what type of processor I have: is 1700 model6 or model8?

just about any motherboard should be able to handle a xp1700. most low price boards now don't have temp, etc. sensors. with a little detective work you could find a motherboard that you can adjust the voltages and depending on the memory you have could speed your processor up with a good cpu cooler.
