Hi folks,
I'm setting up a new KT&a Raid board (with a XP2400+ cpu). I tested the mb
first with memory, video card, cpu/heatsink fan etc.....all outside the case
but plugged into power. My first boot attempt, the fan/heatsink came on for
a second or two then powered down automatically. I shut everything off and
made sure there was no obvious short...removed the heatsink/fan to make sure
all was seated properly. Then I attempted a boot again and all booted fine.
After installing the board into my new case and power supply...I began to
get the same problem again. Any ideas what it could be?
Thanks,
scott

Hi guys...never mind......after testing everything....power
supply...etc....it turned out to be the brand new fan I just bought. I
installed another cheaper one I had on hand and now everything works fine.
