Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>keyboard (more info?)

I'm looking to get an ergonomic keyboard. I don't care for the wireless
battery dependent type. So there's the natural elite versions, and the
natural media versions by Microsoft.

I want a USB model so I could conceivably use it on a Mac in the future.
But I haven't yet figured out if keyboards like this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2786121850 are p2/s with
an adapter to USB, and if such an adapter works to get the keyboard working
properly over USB on a Mac running OS X too.

I'll gladly accept any ergonomic keyboard recommendations and insight ya'all
would like to give. I don't feel the need to have too many customized
buttons, but I do like the idea of having at least one for easy push button
muting of my music.

I know this is a keyboards group, but I'm also curious about this Kensington
expert mouse.
http://www.kensington.com/html/2200.html I went to a computer store, but
nobody would give me the opportunity to test it out. I mean they didn't and
wouldn't cable one up to a computer for a test drive. I like the turbo
mice, I used to have one for use with our classic Macs. I'm not sure,
however, if I'd like the scroll ring. I certainly do like my wheel on my
mouse, I just don't know if the scroll ring is an ok comfortable
alternative, or if it's more of a nice try but more awkward to use. Anybody
out there have one? Can I get some user feedback? I did find one at a
store that wasn't cabled up to a computer, and it's ring didn't provide any
feedback clicking per scroll like my wheel mouse, the ring just free
floated. I wasn't sure if this model was busted, or if that was the way
they are.

Thanks in advance.
-Ethan

My Logitech Elite (Internet Navigator) is excellent. There is a USB version
(with a USB to PS/2 convertor), and the keys have some of the Mac symbols on
them, so you can be sure it should work with the Mac.

I also have a Logitech MX700 which is outstanding, I can't tell it's
cordless in use... there's an MX500 and MX300 if you don't need all the
buttons.
