I had a stick of pc 2100 memory and everything worked ok. I installed a
stick of pc2700 512. I had to clear the cmos to boot with the memory. It
will boots at ddr333 but will not let me change the cpu speed in soft menu
setup. If I finally get the cpu speed up to 2800 like the chip is, the
memory will boot at 266. I have a stick of pc2100 from a different maker and
it works ok. In short if I get the cpu set right the mem is running one
speed slower. If the mem is running at the right speed I cannot change the
cpu speed in soft menu. all the chips that are giving me trouble work ok in
my other machines. Is this mother board very touchey on what mem one
installs.

What is your FSB/DRAM ratio set at? If it's set to SPD, try
changing it to 6/6, 5/5 4/4, etc.

Not all ram chips are compatible with your nForce chipset. Take care of that
especially when buying pc3200.
