Hi,
I have just replaced my Asus mobo with a Abit NF7-S v2 and it wont boot, all
I get is a Black Screen.
I have removed everything no-essential and my system now comprises of:
PSU (tested and OK)
4x AGP graphics card (tried a GF mx400 & a Radeon 9600)
AMD XP-M2500 (mobile) Cpu & fan
2x 512mb PC3200 SDRam
When I connect power I get a red led light up on the mobo.
When I switch PC on, green led lights up on mobo. Also HDD and Power LEDs
both light and stay lit on case.
All fans spin, and the PC just sits it that state indefinitely.
I've tried holding the insert key on switchon, pressing delete, changing the
graphics cards, I tried just 1x DIMM in all 3 of the slots, tried Clearing
CMOS as per the manual (battery measures 3.02v so I dont think its that)
I've unplugged the Floppy & IDE's and still the same.
All I can think is that it either wont work with my processor or the mobo is
faulty. I bought it second-hand from a seemingly honest guy who swears it
was working when removed - so I don't know what his bios settings were (if
that makes a difference).
