Use older drivers with newer control panel?

Hi,

I just read in another post that someone was using CAT 3.7 drivers with the
version 3.10 control panel. Is that cool? If so could you use an even
newer control panel?

I am just setting-up my new P4 system that is running WinXP-Pro (SP/1) and I
am using a Sapphire *Atlantis* 9800. I am only playing Call of Duty atm,
and I seem to think there is a problem with this game and newer drivers?
(Some VPU Recover thing?)

I have also downloaded CAT 4.3 (full) and also OMEGA 4.3 (which I never used
yet!)

Anyway I was happy with the performance of the 3.7's when I used this card
in my last AMD machine, the only thing that confused me was the
Direct3D/OpenGL options. I preferred the control panel that has them both
of one tab. . .which CP can I use with CAT 3.7?

Never used any other than ' Omegas ' community drivers.
Never installed the ' ATi Panel ' only the the ' Omega's Panel.
Never used ' Fast Writes '.
Never had any problems.
Never owned an Intel, [ AMD4EVER ] , and so, no comment on Intel.

This with 8500 RedL & 9500 RedL modded and otherwise, remember they
are gaming sets, not ' benchie' sets !
