In terms of 2D, I doubt you'd notice the difference.
The difference is likely to be proportional to the GPU core speed.
Any new card will handle 2D satisfactorily, is there anything specific you
want it to be able to do?

Go to <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.xbitlabs.com" target="_blank">www.xbitlabs.com</a> for head-to-head comparisons between all Radeon
models.

In the 9600SE the processor and the memory are clocked faster than on the
9200SE.

i use photoshop quite a bit and have a 9200 card and find sometimes it is a
bit slown when applying styles etc to large objects , by the way i use 2
monitors connected to the card and span my desktop.

Erm, I think you're talking about CPU intensive operations, not GPU
intensive operations. 2D graphic performance has been adequate for any
purpose for the last.. 6 years? Applying a style, filter or whatever
requires CPU operation. So.. I'd look into that first. Could you specify
your system here?

Thats a function of your processor and memory, not the graphics card.

That should be enough then
Well, I think it just wont go faster, but hmm, I'm not quite the photoshop
expert here I think the vid card wont help a bit, as 2D speed is by and
large fast enough to put anything on the screen instantly.

2D both will be fine, gaming both will be bad.
