When booting up my PC a "out of range message" occurs. and the screen
flickers until windows is starting up.

It has been doing thins since i changed the CD-drive for some strange
reason.

Now windows has crashed and i need to reinstall it, but cant do it since the
screen flickers when i dos mode.

have anyone had a similar problem? or knows if it is the monitor, videocard
or motherboard that is the problem?

/gunnar

Have you tried shutting off the monitor, waiting a few seconds, and turning
it back on? That works for me with a Samsung 191T Flat Panel Monitor. It's
quite annoying, especially when I have to keep doing it while installing
WinXP.
