I just purchased a new XD picture card for the first time. It is an Olympus
brand. The card comes with a storage holder that can hold up to 6 picture
cards.
The card can easily be inserted into the holder. The question is, how to
remove the card from the holder?

I noticed a little plastic "grabber" built into the holder that snaps over a
small protrusion on one edge of the card. That keeps the card from falling
out of the holder, but I see no obvious way to release the "grabber", other
than prying it back with a knife blade. One slip doing that and its goodbye
(expensive) card.

So how do I release the card the right way? Thanks.

My newest Olympus XD card is several months old. So the holder may not be
the same. With mine, the card pushes in easily, and pulls out easily. Just
fingers, no knives. No problems.

I've not seen one like that but might it be a simple case of it operating
just like the camera? Try pushing the card in further to see it it
releases the catch and pops out.

Thanks, Malcolm and Dave.

As it turned out, I was just being a bit TOO cautious. A firm pull and out
it comes.
