I am trying to decide on the best router to share
internet between two computers (XP and ME) with
Adelphia cable connection.

I want to make a switch (no pun intended Smile from
Linksys to something else. I have used Linksys BEF SR41
and it is okay but wondering if there is something less
expensive and less trouble.

Thanks!

I only need two ports. The Linksys has 4 ports.

Which one?? And do you use it with cable?? I just use a smart switch
with dsl and for that I use the D-Link DSS and have had fantastic luck
with it (REALLY cheap too!!!!).

I meant to say that since I have had so much luck with D-Link DSS for
dsl, I was very tempted to try the D-Link DI-604 (for $16 from TigerDirect)
but passed on it for the Trend since I could get it from NewEgg who has
always
been very good to me.

wow, Great Deal! I will have to shop on eBay more. I tend
not to buy my component needs from eBay since there are
already so many variables involved that I certainly don't want
to mix in the previous owner possibility. But way to go!!!

If you have a Fry's near you they sell an Airlink for $9.99. I've used
one for 2 years now without any problems at all.

YEAH! bought one for the bro-in-law...10.00$(when on special sale) and runs
perfect. The web based admin controls are a bit sluggish sometimes..but no
biggie.
