Hi everyone,

I really need some help with this one.
I recently received a ibm 2210 24e router (old)
This router has 2 10BaseT Connections, and 4 WAN,
and console port.

I want to use this router in my network so i be able to play a little
bit with it.

Initial config wanted:

cable modem->d-link 614+ router ->(in dmz on d-link)ibm 2210
router->server

later (when i'm not a complete noob anymore):

cable modem->d-link 614+ router->(in dmz on d-link)ibm 2210 router
connected with a dce/dte cable to a cisco 2501 router->(from
cisco)server

Now for the initial configuration i tried already many hour without
succes
all the router needs to do is forward the data from eth0 to eth1.

can anyone tell me what i need to do for this?
If possible give me the exact commands Smile

thxs a lot in advance
Lorre

The easyest way, is to find out what version of MRS the router is
runninig(usint at NULL Model cable and a serial port) and download the right
MRS Configuration Program.

Se this URL:

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.networking.ibm.com/support/code.nsf/2210cfgp?OpenView" target="_blank">http://www.networking.ibm.com/support/code.nsf/2210cfgp?OpenView</a>

Then gennerate a config and TFTP or Xmodem the config on to the router.

Best Regards

Johnn
