I have a tyan s2462 with a western digital 80gb 8mb cache drive and a
quantum atlas 10k 36gb drive that i boot from. the wd 80gb is very
slow and i know its not the drive because ive had this problem before
and it went away after i installed the service pack but it wont go
away now. i put the disk into one of my other pc's to check to see if
it was bad and it works great on them so it has to be the mobo.
attached is my system information file. if anyone could help me i
would realy apreciate it. tia and could u email me at
mdiform*nospam*14@aol.com just remove the *nospam* since my newsgroups
have like a 12 hour retention. thanks guys

prolly either just a bios setting, hardware setting (dma) or wrong drivers
installed. Generic drivers should be fine but the 2462 is a little
specialised. Go to tyan.com and grab all its drivers I would say.
