hey all,

ive had a canon ixus 300 for a cpl of years and have been pretty happy with
it. but now i want something a little lighter and smaller (something to wear
around my neck). ive been looking at the sony dsc-u30/40 and these look
pretty neat. are they any good? also are there any other cameras around this
size or is this the smallest? the minimum id want would be 2mp. zoom is not
important to me at all, but picture quality and build quality of the camera
are. id like the camera to take memory sticks of some kind and have a usb3
interface. the option to use standard aaa batteries like on the sonys would
also be nice! any advice/recomendations would be appreciated

thanksyou

Sear has
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-U30
on sale as of today for $149

we have one for special purpose, to carry on film/movie production sets.

otherwise we prefer our other digicam.

disadvatage of U30, flash only goes to c. 5 feet
but at least you won't wash out people from being too close.
