Try MyAlbum. You can either have it reference the pictures (wherever
they are as long as they are still where you told the programme they
were) or make a self-executing player that actually stores the
pictures. Obviously either sort can be burned to CD.

Have a look at Memories On TV <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.picturetotv.com/download.htm" target="_blank">http://www.picturetotv.com/download.htm</a>
which as well as having good transitions and able to synchronise sound
track perfectly also has the ability to allow you to zoom and pan the
pictures during creation giving you a feeling of animation.

Roxio's latest incarnation of EZCD Creator - Easy Media Creator 7.0 -
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.roxio.com/en/products/ecdc/index.jhtml" target="_blank">http://www.roxio.com/en/products/ecdc/index.jhtml</a> will allow you to create a
slideshow with background audio, audio annotation of each photo etc., etc.,
and you can burn it to CD in VCD format, which most modern set-top DVD
players will play.
This, of course, means that the whole family can be sat in the comfort of
the living room and see the photos on the TV instead of crowding round the
computer monitor. It's brilliant - and, no, I'm not connected with Roxio in
any way, just a very satisfied user.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. All I really need is something that will
create a CD that someone can put in their CDrom that will autoplay a
slideshow, no need for audio.
I tried Pictures toExe and created the file fine. Just need it to autorun.I
haven't tried burning it yet, I don't know if I need to add an autorun file.

Rather simple
Prepare a file called autorun.inf
Put in that file the following text
[autorun]
And if your content is executable a like like
open=viewer.exe
Where of course viewers.exe is the name of the program you made
If you make a HTML file or something different then a direct
executable file then add a line like
shellexecute=fotoshoot\index.html
In what the file index.html ofcourse is found in the subdirectory
photoshoot
Then burn both the data as the autorun.inf file on disc
Simple said
Autorun.inf
[autorun]
open=viewer.exe
or
[autorun]
shellexecute=fotoshoot\index.html<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Best software for creating sharable "slideshow". |

Read Above, I added a little "how to make an autorun" there ofcourse
is one problem.... enough people have shut autorun off! Then
again..those can manually start the exe file!<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Best software for creating sharable "slideshow". |

I see you have gotten many replys to your query, but I will offer you a FREE
solution. Download IVIEW385.EXE from the Internet and follow the simple
instructions in the help file to create an executable file on a CD. Not a
lot of ruffles and flurishes, but it works very well.
