I use Unidreams PhotoPlayer. It's simple to use, creates autoplaying cd's
and all your family has to do is pop in the cd and enjoy. Best of all it's
free. Link is below:

hmmm...an addendum or correction

A little while back I reported to the author of MyAlbum that I could
not Copy individual pictures that were large, when displaying them in
MyAlbum. Nobody else was apparently able to repeat this, and none of
the 'cures" suggested made any difference. The Author said they were
not running Win 98, as I am. I had no further input from them on the
matter.

I have now a couple of files that simply do not open properly in
MyAlbum...again they are larger pictures (I often enlarge the pixel
count for enlarged viewing). These are TIFF files of around 50Mb in
size.

They simply will not display.

So AFAIC, MyAlbum has trouble with larger files.

I can open these files in Irfanview perfectly well.

It's a pity. I liked the MyAlbum interface and way of thinking. It
allowed such things as copying an image while displaying it, so that
recipients could copy, if they chose, as they viewed. They could also
view thumbnails and choose which ones to view.

Ah well....

Sorry for the cascades of posts.

HAH!

I just tried to display a big TIFF in IrfanView. IT worked OK in the
programme, but failed in the exe file.

Of course a 50MB file is of no real value when viewed on any normal
computer monitor, and much less so a television screen. Neither have
the nearly resolution to take advantage of that kind of resolution. I'm
wondering what kind of camera/scanner you have that is cresting an image
that large. You're talking a 400 million bit image.
