sony dsc-s60 digital camera problem

I have a dsc-s60 sony camera and i'm having zoom issues. When I zoom in
it looks as if it didnt zoom and when I zoom back out it prompts me to
shutdown and restart. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried a complete reset of the camera?

Remove the batteries for 24 hours. If the camera has a separate clock
battery and you can remove that battery, do so.

Insert fresh new or fully charged batteries. Turn on camera, set the date
and time. Maybe problem solved.

If not you may have to send the camera for repair.
