Do stand alone CD ROM controllers to make it play audio ex..

Are there any cheap controllers that can run a CD-ROM
drive for the purpose of playing audio CDs? Something
that can interface between a few push buttons (track
selection, play, stop, skip forward, skip backward, and
such and the CD ROM drive? SO I could use a CD ROM
drive without a computer?

Or are there simple circuits that can do this?
