best time to upgrade is when you find the CPU you want at the right price.
Best CPU would be a venice core (E6) Athlon 64. They will overclock good
while the earlier ones won't. Newegg has this cpu ADA3000AIK4BX for $56
shipped right now and would probably be the best choice. With a 10x
multiplier you can get it about as high as you want and twice the cache of
the Sempron. Or the Sempron 3400+ with a 10x multiplier would also be a
decent choice. it's going for about $45 now. I don't think more time will
make any noticable difference in price unless it goes up.
