western digital hard drive - i have a western digital caviar hard drive on my computer. sometimes it will make this god awful racket and then it will stop. its like an on and off think. i was wondering whatis causing the problem and how i fix it.
Print in Book format - Now that I am using XP I cannot print in book format with my HP 682. In W98 I was able to select book format which is not now available in the print dialogue window. Any help Thanks

I am looking for some feeback on the mentioned product. I was surfing
the web and seen that Walmart in the states sell these for $89.00. Is
it a reliable hd? The price is definitely right. If you have one of
these drives, I would like to hear your opinions positives and
negatives. I know that this model does not come with the back-up
software (that makes the selling price go up to about $150.00). I
think for the price difference I could purchase a cloning software
suite. Thanks in advance for your inputs

I just bought a Seagate 80 gig drive for $79 USA dollars to test out my
work with dos drivers to see the drive. No luck so far. Works just fine
with no extra drivers in XP tho. Seems like it's already been formatted
in NTFS. The 250 gig Seagate was $99 but all I needed was a drive to
test out my newly created dos drivers, which didn'nt work after a week
of trying.

This week Office Depot had a Seagate "Freeagent" 250GB
External/USB for $50 after rebate. Probably sold out at
this point (this late in the week) but check the weekend
newspaper if you must buy one locally. < $90 for 250GB is
not hard to find.
You write "Walmart in the states" though, are you outside

Kony, I live in Canada but will be in the states in a couple of weeks.
The reason I asked about the drive is that the same drive is $147.95
cdn + 14% tax. If I buy in in the U.S.A, I can save about $60.00 even
after the small exchange rate
