My motherboard BIOS isn't recognizing my hard drive after I screwed
around with the settings(its pretty messed up). How can I set
everything to default so the motherboard can recognize the hard drive
from the master IDE.

PS I could give you the specs and all but I in kind of a hurry but I'll
post it if its necessary.

Unless it's some coal-fired relic that requires full manual CHS settings, just
direct the cmos setup utility to auto-configure the hard drive...

It would help if we knew if this is a fairly recent system or an antique
mbrd. What was it you "screwed around" with? You should be able to go
into BIOS Setup, make sure the IDE channel is enabled and "Auto" detect the
drive. Is the HDD not seen at all or does the boot fail? If the latter,
DL a copy of BootitNG from www.bootitng.com and see what its partition
manager sees on the HDD.

Forget, stupidest problem in the world. Didn't have to the power
plugged into the hard drive, so thats why the BIOS didn't recognize
it...duh?

Thanks you
