On this home network are 3 PC. A LAPTOP and a TOWER both run WIN XP PRO
SP2 and a LAPTOP running WIN98 SE. My problem is the TOWER PC cannot
acces, store, or see the LAPTOP's desktop folder on the C:\ hdd. But
other LAPTOP folders on d: and g: hdds can be seen and used.

The error msg for the desktop folder is always "acess denied".
Permissions are for read,write, change.

On the LAPTOP I can see, use and change the TOWER's Desktop folder.
Cannot find what is different between the two systems. Need suggestions.
Thanks, Dave_s

Let me clarify my problem.
On the LAPTOP, I can access, read, and change the 'desktop' folder.
When I attempt from the TOWER PC, to do this to the LAPTOP's 'desktop'
folder, THRU THE NETWORK, then I cannot, and see the "access denied"
error message.

On the TOWER PC, I can use the 'desktop' folder. When I am on the
LAPTOP, I also can see and use the TOWER's 'desktop' folder THRU THE NET.

How do I adjust the permissions, ownership, etc.
when I try to use LAPTOP's 'desktop' folder from the TOWER THRU the NET?

Thanks, Dave_s
